#HelloYellow Day 💛
Lockdown has had a devastating effect on children and young people’s mental health. It’s been unbelievably hard, but we wanted to show young people they are not alone.
On Friday 9th October we had a non-uniform day to raise money for Young Minds #HelloYellow initiative to support young people’s mental health.
All year groups received an assembly on the importance of good mental health and to highlight that they are not alone. Some year groups participated in wellbeing activities and got involved in their own fundraising projects to raise extra money.
A big shout out to Lilly Jo Bramwell who raised £96 selling cupcakes at her Mum’s work. Also to Sophie Hubbard, Lily Smith, Alexis Driver, Kenedie Taylor-Spyve who set up stalls selling pin badges and sticker transfers and raised £40. Finally, Courtney Bayley designed and printed some mental health posters which were displayed around school.
Well done to all those who got into the spirit of the day by wearing something yellow.
