Students from years 7, 8 & 9 enjoyed a trip away to France over the Easter break to receive some expert coaching and play against French opposition on the recent football tour.
Some staff and students enjoyed a ferry and coach journey into France seeing the sights and other’s were happy to catch up on sleep after a very early start.
Whilst on the trip students had the chance to visit the Stade de France, (the national stadium in France) the Eiffel Tower and the PSG club shop. A fantastic day was had at Disneyland Paris where the weather was sunny and there was plenty of attractions enjoyed by the students and staff.
The students were put through their paces when the PSG coaches put on a physically and mentally demanding training session working on individual fitness and skills with an emphasis on team tactics and player positions. All students showed focus and concentration and were a credit to themselves receiving plenty of praise from the coaches.
The competitive games were against local opposition Cosmo Taverny a well established French amateur team. The games were competitive however all 3 teams looked jaded after a tough few days of training and sightseeing, but all 3 teams put up a very good showing and only lost by narrow margins.
All in all a very enjoyable and educational trip.
