KS3 Rise to the Challenge

This week all KS3 students have received their third Rawmarsh Pledge lesson within PSHE.
The lesson focussed around what Active Citizenship is, what it means to be an Active Citizen and how it benefits you. All students then had time to plan and prepare how they would achieve an Active Citizenship Pledge task so in their next Pledge lesson they could present this to the class to achieve their Pledge.
Mr Knott’s Y8 group learnt how to use a compass for the ‘We take risks and rise to a challenge’ Pledge task, whilst other members of staff taught their groups how to do origami.

So far we have had 6 students fully complete their Bronze Active Citizenship Pledges and they were presented with a certificate and enamel pin badge by Mr Conlin during their assembly.
Well done to:
Ava Merrick, Millie Parker, George Purdy, Amy Thompson, Owen Wainwright, Abigail Adegboye.
