Rotherham Schools’ Girls Football Cup

Football

Rawmarsh entered a Y7 squad and an U16s squad into the Rotherham Girls Schools Cup last Thursday.

It took on a different format this year to what it has done in the past. It was played as a day tournament where all teams played each other in a round robin. There were 15 squads in total across 10 schools totalling over 160 girls. It was a fantastic event. The U16 squad was looking to regain the title having won it as U14s.

Both teams played well with some outstanding finishes from Sidni Simmons and Evie Litchfield. Y7s finished 3rd having played Wickersley, Oakwood, Swinton. U16s finished 3rd having played Oakwood, Wickersley and Wath.
