Tanzania Trip – Week 2
This week we’ve been at Arusha National Park where we saw more incredible wildlife including giraffes, elephants and water buffalo.
We moved on to stay in the bush where we visited a local Maasai village.
We also participated in some elephant conservation work and a walking safari. Yesterday we arrived in Moshi where we have been helping out in a local school re-laying classroom floors. We had to manually knock out and remove concrete floors and tomorrow we will resurface with new concrete.
At the weekend we will move down to Tanga on the Tanzanian coast followed by our Kilimanjaro trek.
Our students have been incredible ambassadors for Rawmarsh and the UK. They’ve met school children, tribal leaders, and community groups and have done so with sensitivity, respect, resilience, maturity, and compassion. We’ve already made so many memories and we are so proud of our young people and the difference they are making to the lives of people living in unimaginable poverty.
