Tour de Yorkshire

Featured

Y7 students ventured to Upper Haugh last Friday to experience the women’s Tour de Yorkshire race. It was amazing to see the athletes giving their all!

Students and PE staff walked from school to Upper Haugh Cricket Club where we found an excellent vantage point. Very soon, the police made an appearance with their rolling roadblock. The students waved and dabbed, and the police reciprocated by waving and dabbing back, much to the students’ delight!

The bikers then zoomed past with their support cars and spare bikes closely behind. They were like lightning! Fantastic athleticism on display.

The helicopter hovered over, closely watching the race unfold. What a great morning, exciting and exhilarating, the students and staff were amazed. Until next year, Tour de Yorkshire!
