Transition at Rawmarsh
We held our first Transition evening of the school calendar on Wednesday last week and it was great to see so many enthusiastic Year 6 students having a look around the school and engaging in all the different activities that were on offer from all our curriculum areas. From climbing and trampolining in the PE department, making chocolate mug cakes in Food Tech, flame testing metal ions in science to building earthquake resistant buildings in geography, there was lots of opportunities to have a go.
During our Transition event, Y6 students and parents made some lovely chocolate puddings with a very quick recipe. Many requested the recipe, so here it is! Let us know how you get on with cooking them!
If you didn’t manage to make it on the night don’t worry you can still get in touch with Mrs Tomlinson and arrange to come for a look around the school. We encourage where possible that you arrange your visit during school hours this will allow you to get a real feel for how the school operates. To arrange a visit please contact Mrs Tomlinson – firstname.lastname@example.org.
Our next Transition events will be on:

- Monday 22nd June – Rollover – Start Y7 4 weeks before the summer break.
