Students in Y9-11 who have opted to study hospitality were invited to an assembly delivered by Danielle Hodkinson from Mellors Catering to look at career options within the food industry.
They were given information on:
Chef
Catering manager
Area manager
Group manager
health and safety manager
Marketing manager
They discussed what these jobs entailed and the skills and qualities they would need to be successful and make them stand out from the crowd during the application process. Danielle also discussed with them the importance of having a positive attitude and how to prepare for their future exams to give them the best chance of being successful
They left with plenty of food for thought!
