After a hassle free departure from Heathrow airport early Saturday morning, we made it safely to sunny Bormio by tea time.

Sunday was our first day on the mountain and after the usual issues of who has left what item up in their room we finally headed off to the slopes.

The students had an amazing day and were praised for their resilience and positive attitude by the ski instructors.

The beginner group mastered the nursery slope, whilst the intermediate group hit the red slopes and the advanced group went right to the top of the mountain and navigated some icy conditions. They have all taken risks and risen to the challenges that they have faced.

We finished the day with room inspections, a general knowledge quiz which was won by Ayomi, Amelia, Honey, Daisy and Connor. Followed by awarding the wipeout of the day helmet cover to Mr MacMahon after his impressive fall head first over a 6ft netted fence!
