GB Taekwondo has confirmed that thirteen athletes have been selected to represent Great Britain at the 2022 Junior World Championships which runs between 2nd-7th August.
The prestigious event will take place in Sofia, Bulgaria, and see a range of British fighters go head-to-head with the best talent from around the globe. It will also play a crucial role in the development of the squad and provide many with their first major event experience.
The next crop of athletes will also hope to follow in the footsteps of Olympic silver medallist, Lauren Williams, who became Junior World Champion consecutively in 2014 and 2016, along with Aaliyah Powell who took the crown in 2018 – before going on to compete as seniors in the World Class Performance Programme.
We are immensely pleased to announce that due to his hard work, effort, commitment and determination Zak Angel has secured his place on the team.
