Y11 Health and Social Care

This half term Y11 have been looking at effective communication in Health and Social Care settings.

This week we looked at specialist types of communication to support service users with additional needs. We had a go at creating braille with split peas, finger spelling and Makaton.

This helped students have a better understanding of the difficulties some service users face on a daily basis, how to help overcome them as a practitioner and the benefits they bring to all involved.
