On Thursday 9th October, Y9 were lucky enough to welcome 20 business volunteers to school, for a Careers Speed Networking Event.
Students had the opportunity to meet a variety of employers, spending five minutes with each volunteer to ask questions about their roles, industries, and career paths. After each session, they moved on to the next volunteer, giving them the chance to explore a wide range of local and national career opportunities.
The business volunteers were impressed by the students’ thoughtful questions and engagement, commenting on how much they enjoyed speaking with such enthusiastic young people.
We are extremely grateful to all the volunteers who gave up their time to support our students, and we are proud of our students for their curiosity and professionalism throughout the event.
