RCS Student Council 2025/26

A huge congratulations to all the students who successfully secured a place on the RCS Student Council 2025-26, following a rigorous process of applications, shortlisting, and an anonymous student vote. This year, in line with the Trust Council structure, councillors have been organised into five subcommittees.

At our first meeting, councillors were congratulated and presented with their pin badges, which are now proudly worn on their school jumpers. More recently, councillors met with the Head of Catering Operations to learn how our school menu is created and to take part in a food trial, providing valuable feedback on the exciting new menu soon to launch in our cafeteria.

Did you know that our catering team must follow strict guidelines – such as limits on portion weights and how often pastry can be served each week? This valuable experience demonstrated student voice in action, while helping councillors to develop their communication, teamwork, and evaluation skills.

Students are encouraged to share their ideas with councillors – either in person or via our shared group email – to suggest ways we can continue to improve our school community.

Upcoming events: Two representatives from our Education subcommittee are attending the first WPT Trust Council meeting of the year on the 6th November!
