Students across RCS worked together in their forms to create and decorate Christmas hampers to be distributed to families in Rawmarsh in time for the festive season.
The hampers were filled with tinned, dried, and long-life foods, as well as toiletries, and many new, unused toys were also generously donated.
Sandra Chamberlain from the Salvation Army shared her thanks:
“Thank you so much for the amazing donations of food, hampers and toys that Rawmarsh Community School collected for our Christmas appeal. The display of goods was beautiful, and so many were made into attractive hampers – everything was greatly appreciated. Well done everybody! At least 50 hampers and many toy parcels will be going out to families tomorrow. Your efforts will make Christmas brighter for many families who are struggling to make ends meet this year.”
A huge well done to all our students and families for their generosity and hard work in making this possible!
