Recently, Y7 and Y8 enjoyed a fantastic trip to Skills Street, a careers-based education centre that gives young people the opportunity to experience different aspects of the world of work and develop valuable skills through practical activities.
During the visit, students experienced airport control and the role of cabin crew on part of a retired Jet2 plane. They also took part in a cyber security information session and quiz delivered by South Yorkshire Police, as well as construction activities sponsored by ESH Group.
Students also worked with local engineering and manufacturing company Gripple, completing a range of practical engineering tasks before finishing the day with an employability skills reflection session. Well done to everyone involved!
