Y9 Football Victory!

Last Thursday, our Year 9 footballers secured their place in Round 2 of the English Schools Cup with a superb hard fought 3-2 away victory against a strong Bolsover School.

In a match which had twists and turns throughout, our boys showed fantastic effort and resilience right until the end of the game to really grind out the victory. Trailing 2-1 at half time having initially taken the lead thanks to a calmly taken penalty from Thomas Hammerton, two second half goals from Josh Kay saw us progress through to the next round.

Well done to all of the players who represented our school so well on the evening, and whose level of effort, skill and dedication was excellent!

Our squad:
