On Friday 15th October, Y11 participated in Careers Day, which enabled them to dream big, and get a fantastic head start on their journey after they leave RCS.
Partaking in a range of activities, catering to the multitude of talents possessed by RCS students, Y11 really rose to the challenge of Careers Day, developing and consolidating a variety of skills and gaining valuable insight into their bright futures.
It was extremely gratifying to see the year group supporting each other and giving their best, believing in themselves while creating their personal statements, showing respect and appreciation whilst listening to guest speakers, and showing pride in their future achievements as they researched into how to become able and qualified to accomplish their dream jobs.
In addition, they have shown an incredible level of resilience, taking risks and moving out of their comfort zone in mock job interviews conducted by professional interviewers. The feedback has been resoundingly positive, and the students are clearly proud of their achievements, as they have spoken very enthusiastically about the benefits of their interview experiences. Furthermore, this opportunity has heralded the completion of an Active Citizenship element of the Rawmarsh Pledge, and an extremely pertinent addition to their ever-developing CV.
A credit to the school and the community, Y11 presented themselves professionally and with pride.
