Y9 Sports Leaders

On Friday 27th March, RCS Year 9 Sports Leaders played an important role in supporting the Rotherham School Games Big Sister 2.0 Festival at St Ann’s Leisure Centre. Throughout the day, they delivered a wide range of sports activities, including netball, skipping, football, pickleball, badminton, and exercise sessions, working in pairs or alongside experienced coaches.

The leaders showed great enthusiasm and maturity when working with younger pupils, helping to create a welcoming and supportive environment. They demonstrated the leadership skills they have been developing, showing clear progress in communication and teamwork.

Mr Inglis received lots of positive feedback from visiting staff, who praised the leaders’ excellent conduct and the way they engaged with the younger children. Their behaviour and attitude were a real credit to both themselves and the school. Well done to everyone involved!
