As part of our Gold Rawmarsh Pledge, pupils are encouraged to write to their local MP about issues that are important and relevant to them. This helps pupils develop their understanding of British Values, particularly Democracy and Individual Liberty, by encouraging them to express their views, engage with the democratic process and understand that their voices matter.
Nojus and Amelia completed this element of the pledge and were delighted to receive a personal reply from John Healey MP, the MP for Rawmarsh and Conisbrough.
It was fantastic to see our pupils engaging with their local democratic process and having the opportunity to share their views with their Member of Parliament. A huge well done to Nojus and Amelia – a fantastic example of the Gold Rawmarsh Pledge in action!
