Last week Rawmarsh PE Department hosted their Paralympic games week.
This was to raise the profile of Paralympic sports and to challenge our students to participate and understand the wide range of disabilities athletes compete with.
All PE groups from all years played a variety of paralympic sports including Boccia, Seated Volleyball and GoalBall.
Students watched sporting clips and devloped their knowledge of each sport during their tutor sessions. They then put this knowledge into practice during their practical PE lessons.
It was a great week of sport with the focus on values of courage, determination, inspiration and above all equality.
The students thoroughly enjoyed challenging themselves with the aim of taking these values away from the experience.
