Anti-Bullying For Parents
At Rawmarsh, bullying is unacceptable and is not tolerated by students, staff, or the wider community. If a student demonstrate any behaviour that we consider bullying:
- We will involve parents/carers
- We will look to modify the behaviour in a supportive environment
- We may put in place serious consequences including suspension from school
If a student is being bullied we will support them by:
- Self-esteem support through Non-Teaching Heads of Year
- Repairing relationships with people
- Mindfulness support through the Student Support Team
- Regular check-ins by the support team
If you have any concerns regarding bullying and your child please in the first instance contact their appropriate Non-Teaching Assistant Head of Year or Head of Key Stage who will address any concerns and work towards a positive resolution to any issues that may have occurred. Alternatively please contact Miss A Forshaw, the Anti-Bullying Coordinator.

Anti-Bullying Ambassadors
We have a large team of trained Anti-Bullying Ambassadors from Year 7 to Year 11, along with three senior Anti-Bullying Ambassadors in Year 10, who have completed extra training through the Diana Award. The Ambassadors are there should your child wish to talk to someone other than an adult in school. Our senior Ambassadors Lucy, Amy and Jayden run our Anti-Bullying Group which meets every Wednesday 2nd break in Mu2, where your child can get advice, meet new friends and have a weekly catch up.
If you feel your child would benefit from being linked with an Ambassador, or would like to become part of our Ambassador team, please contact Miss Forshaw, the Anti-Bullying Coordinator.
