RCS Reverse Advent Calendar

All students at RCS have participated in the ‘Reverse Advent Calendar’ over the past few weeks, learning about the meaning of Christmas and charity during form time as part of their personal development. As part of this initiative, we have collected food and toy donations for the Salvation Army in Rawmarsh to support their Christmas Appeal. Many donations have already been delivered, with more still coming in to help those in need. A special thank you goes to Mrs. Pearson, Mrs. Higginbottom, and Mrs. Sheedy’s form groups for their fantastic effort in creating wrapped hampers.

Sandra Chamberlain from the Salvation Army expressed her gratitude, saying:
“Thank you so much, RCS, for the lovely donations. We are currently very short on food, so everything you’ve given will make a big difference in meeting the needs of our community. Every day, I receive more requests for Christmas hampers and toys from places like the Early Help Hub and Citizens Advice. Thank you again for all your kindness—we really appreciate it.”

Well done everyone!
