MFL La Fiesta Trip

Yesterday, students who are learning Spanish had a fantastic opportunity to put their language skills into practice in a real-world setting! Our first visit of the school year to La Fiesta Tapas Restaurant was a huge success.

Students were able to order food, chat with the staff, and immerse themselves in the atmosphere of authentic Spanish dining – all while practising their pronunciation and conversational Spanish. The restaurant staff were incredibly impressed by the students’ confidence and enthusiasm, commenting on their excellent accents and effort when speaking Spanish.

It was wonderful to see how the classroom learning translated so naturally into real-life communication, and the students truly rose to the challenge. Their efforts would definitely have earned them extra tapas if they were dining out in Spain!

Trips like these are a fantastic way to bring language learning to life and help students understand how valuable their skills can be beyond school.

We’re already looking forward to running more visits to La Fiesta and other cultural experiences throughout the year. Well done, everyone!
