At Rawmarsh, we celebrated European Day of Languages in the last week of September. We had a variety of activities to get everyone involved. Students watched films playing in different languages at break, took part in language learning challenges and took part in language treasure hunts around school.
The students also had the opportunity to try different foods from the language they are currently learning in school, and they had to ask for the food in this language, as a way to practise their studies.
RCS students who successfully took part in the different activities for the European Day of Languages – the passport activity, the treasure hunt or the language speaking challenge – were put into a draw for a £5 prize.
Well done to Sarah in Y8 who won. This is well deserved, as she is truly an excellent linguist. ¡Muy bien! Ça c’est super!
