Netball at Rawmarsh is officially underway!
We’ve had a fantastic turnout at training on Tuesday evenings, with lots of students showing real enthusiasm, commitment, and team spirit. This week, our teams played their first fixtures against Maltby – with our Y8s securing an incredible 14-0 win and our Y9s battling hard for an exciting 11-11 draw. Huge congratulations to everyone involved – what a brilliant start to the season!
Next week, we look forward to taking on Aston away.
At Rawmarsh, we’re passionate about offering a wide range of extracurricular opportunities for all our students. Taking part in clubs like netball not only provides memorable experiences, but also helps students build vital life skills such as confidence, resilience, teamwork and determination – qualities that are just as important off the court as they are on it.
Being part of a school team also means representing Rawmarsh in the wider community. Our students are expected to show the same high standards of behaviour, commitment, and pride in their uniform as they do during the school day. Regular practice and dedication are key – and it’s this hard work that builds strong, successful teams.
Extracurricular activities are a central part of the Wickersley Partnership Trust’s Entitlement and Enrichment programme, which ensures every child has the chance to broaden their horizons, pursue their passions, and gain experiences that will support them long into the future.
We’re so proud of our players already and can’t wait to see how the rest of the season unfolds.
Keep up the amazing work, everyone!
