Climbing Trip

Following the success of April’s trip to Burbage North, Rawmarsh School climbing club headed out to Wharncliffe Crag recently to continue to develop their climbing skills outdoors. For this trip we focused on both outdoor climbing technique and rope skills. The students experienced belaying each other at the top of the crag and pushed their grades by trying more difficult climbs. Areas explored included Black Slab, Great Buttress, and Pete’s Sake Area.

Students from Y7-11 attended and rose to the challenge. The weather and views from the top of the crag made for an excellent day’s climbing.

Well done to all involved.
