A group of students were selected to participate in a workshop based on how to respond in an emergency situation, which was led by experienced nurses. Their aim is to eradicate needless deaths in our communities by having open conversations, empowering, and sharing knowledge and skills between experienced healthcare professionals and young people.
They teach young people aged 11 – 25 how to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and hemorrhage control to enable them to act as ‘zero responders’ before a first responder arrives.
The students involved responded very positively and the feedback from the nurses was “the boys were one of the best groups they had worked with”
